The VRHI provides recommendations to the City Council for improvements that will aid in Affordable and Attainable housing. We will also assist our Disabled, Military Veterans, and Seniors to receive home repair resources.

VRHI is not the Housing Authority nor are we Code Enforcement. We are a bridge between the Community and City Officials to help identify communities in the City of Villa Rica that need assistance.

VRHI was created through Villa Rica’s participation in the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH), a statewide program focused on improving housing and revitalization.

VRHI is a volunteer-led committee with members from various backgrounds, including realtors, architects, and community leaders. Some city staff and officials also participate, but most members are not part of city government.

No, VRHI does not buy or sell real estate. We help homeowners and landlords improve properties, connect residents to grant programs, and work to remove housing barriers.
